We make a big effort to reward our pupils for good attendance and punctuality. As you are aware, we work closely with the Education Welfare Officer and must report when pupils miss 20 days or more. However, missing any number of days can affect your child’s progress at school. Poor punctuality can also prevent a child from having a full Maths or English class each day. Any absence must be explained with a note by a parent/guardian or a phone call to the office. Rewards and certificates are given to pupils with good attendance. The names of pupils who are late are recorded and if a pattern emerges, we will be in touch to discuss how to improve punctuality. We hold ‘A Count Me in to Win’ raffle every month to encourage our pupils to be on time.

Children should only be collected early from school if they have a medical or dental appointment that cannot be rearranged for outside school times.
