Our school is one of 19 primary schools in Dublin that is part of TAP (Trinity Access Programme).

The TAP programme offers a range of activities, mainly Maths & Science, to our 5th & 6th class pupils. TAP works with schools, colleges, pupils, parents and communities to make sure that everyone who could benefit from a college education has the opportunity to go to college.

TAP works with our school to:

  • get students involved in learning
  • increase students’ interest in going to university
  • help create a college-going culture within the school
  • encourage parents and guardians to support academic achievement among their children.

To achieve these goals, there are many activities that take place in our school and on the

Trinity campus. Over the past number of years, 5th & 6th class pupils have had the opportunity to visit Trinity College, participate in Maths, Science & Sports workshops in Trinity, Halloween Terrifying tales and write their own books during the Bookmarks programme.

Trinity academic staff and our TAP co-ordinators help run these activities. Ms. Deering is the current TAP co-ordinator in our school. She organises these events throughout the year.

Our next event is a visit to Trinity for some fun Maths and Science Activities. Visit our TAP noticeboard in the school foyer for more information and photos.
